Justin Randolph Thompson es un escultor y artista de las nuevas tecnologías, nació en Peekskill, NY en 1979. Vive entre Italia y EEUU. Desde 2001, ha exhibido internacionalmente y ha participado en numerosas residencias en los Estados Unidos y en Europa. Recientemente ha recibido la beca Emerging Artist Fellowship de la Fundación Contemporary Art Emergency Gran; La beca de Open Studio Fellowship el pasado Jerome Fellow, que fue residente del Taller de Jannis Kounellis en la Fundación Marcelino Botín en Santander, España. Thompson tuvo un reciente proyecto en solitario en el Blue Star Museo de arte contemporáneo en San Antonio y en la Galería cochifrito en Nueva York y una proyección reciente en el Museo Whitney de arte americano. Sus próximos proyectos incluyen exposiciones en la galería de Wein en Corpus Christi y en el espacio para el proyecto de Carles Tache en Barcelona. Justin Randolph Thompson is a sculptor and new media artist born in Peekskill, NY in ’79. Living between Italy and the US since 2001, he has exhibited internationally and participated in numerous residencies in the US and in Europe. A recent recipient of the 2013 Emerging Artist Fellowship at Socrates Sculpture Park , a Foundation for Contemporary Art Emergency Grant, the Open Studio Fellowship at Franconia Sculpture Park, a past Jerome Fellow and a resident at the Taller of Jannis Kounellis at the Fundacion Marcelino Botin in Santander, Spain. Thompson had a recent solo project at the Blue Star Contemporary Art Museum in San Antonio and at the Cuchifritos Gallery in New York City and a recent screening at the Whitney Museum of American Art. Forthcoming projects include solo exhibitions at the Wein Gallery in Corpus Christi and at Carles Tache’s Project Space in Barcelona. Thompson is a recipient of the 2013 Becas de Artes Plasticas of the Fundacion Marcelino Botin.
