Anthrophony is an interactive, sound tracked work of art which builds a metaphor whose meaning dwells around subversion and protest like an incessant dialectic process of the human being all along the history of mankind, whereby “collapse and recuperation are an essential part of its functioning,” punctuates Antoni Negri. It is as such, that the work shows the more profound, terrifying and sublime aspects of this process, accelerated more every time by the globalization and new technologies of alternative media broadcasting and circulation. Simultaneously, the installation conceptualizes a criticism of relations of power, whose interests have motivated the political-pop movement to be falsely interpreted as a dominant-power current “the commercialization of terror is quite simply intolerable” said Adorno.

The work of art is divided into three spaces. In one of the extremes, huge monochromatic speakers are piled up to form a “sound system” characteristic of the Rave subculture, which in a continuous way, will reproduce recordings of protests worldwide. Facing the opposite way at the other end, stands a white cube suspended in the air, softly lit up, which reproduces in real time harmonic extrapolated notes, of collective protests, engaging in a sublime, horrific dialogue between both polarities. To mediate in this dialogue, the cube is simultaneously a means of interaction where the individual chooses to shout out or not, and whose level of sound is manipulated by a video film in the central space.
