Con un interés particular por los sentidos menores (olfato, gusto, y tacto), en sus implicaciones estéticas y socio-culturales, el trabajo de Yolanda es una amalgama de elementos de las artes visuales, el arte sonoro, con inspiración en la ciencia y los nuevos medios. Todo ello se materializa en instalaciones y actuaciones con experiencias inmersivas multi-sensoriales que buscan los límites de nuestra percepción, explorando posibles maneras de expandir los márgenes de los sentidos. Su trabajo ha sido presentado en festivales como Sonic Acts (NL), WRO Media-Art Biennale (PL), Kontraste (AU), STRP (NL), SPARK (USA), Todays Art (NL), Transmediale (GR) etc.

With a particular interest in smell, taste, touch, and the aesthetic and socio-culutural consequences of these senses, Yolanda Uriz’s work is an amalgamation of elements from visual and auditory art, science, and technology of new artistic mediums. Her ideas materialize through immersive, multi-sensory installations and performances which push the limits of our perception and explore ways of expanding the edges of our senses.
