Victor Drouin-Trempe es artista, investigador y profesor de creación sonora y filosofía. Tiene una maestría en filosofía y actualmente cursa un doctorado en Estudios y Prácticas del Arte en la UQAM. Su investigación actual se basa en la exploración de las características de lo que se puede llamar “sonido vivo”. En la práctica, el trabajo consiste en encontrar formas de elaborar “criaturas sonoras” utilizando herramientas de composición algorítmica, con el fin de conducir a una reflexión filosófica más amplia sobre la naturaleza de los vivos.
Jean-Philippe Côté es un artista, profesor de medios interactivos e investigador cuya interés se encuentra en la confluencia entre arte, obsolescencia y tecnología.

Victor Drouin-Trempe is an artist, researcher and professor in sound creation and philosophy. He holds a master’s degree in philosophy and is currently pursuing a PhD in Art Studies and Practices at UQAM. His current research is based on the exploration of the characteristics of what can be called a “living sound.” The work consists of finding ways to elaborate “sound creatures” using algorithmic compositional tools, in order to lead to a broader philosophical reflection on the nature of the living.
