Luthería Experimental

Este taller propone desarrollar experiencias creativas de producción de sonido y escucha, desde la aplicación práctica de técnicas de diseño y construcción de dispositivos sonoros no convencionales. 

A partir de la lógica “hazlo tu mismo” (DIY) se reutilizarán objetos y materiales para experimentar con el uso poético del sonido en cruce con nuevos medios tecnológicos.

Objetivos:

– Generar un espacio de interacción artística con el sonido.
– Desarrollar experiencias creativas sobre la escucha.
– Establecer relaciones poéticas entre cuerpo-imagen-metáfora-sonido.
– Promover la exploración de materialidades y corporalidades sonoras.
– Repensar la performatividad de los objetos como bienes de consumo y producción de sentido.

Este workshop abordará relaciones poéticas entre objetos, espacio, tiempo y tecnología que comprendan perspectivas sonoras y aurales para para la producción de sentido.

Introducción:

Simulacros y mediaciones. Cuerpos que suenan y cuerpos que escuchan:

Se indagarán posibilidades expresivas de los objetos para reproducir sonido y escuchar sonido, proponiendo poéticas de intercambio de función. Poner a emitir lo que escucha y poner a escuchar lo que emite. La sintaxis espacio-temporal como organizadora de sentidos. El cuerpo como resonancia. Objetivación del cuerpo – subjetivación de los objetos.

Viento:

Como escuchar el viento. Construcción de un instrumento simple de viento para la acción colectiva.

Escucha tentacular.

Experiencia aural de aproximación a los objetos por contacto directo.

Ver el sonido.

Imagenes que suenan. Construcción de la dimensión sonora de la imagen.
Construcción de la dimensión aural de la imagen. Construcción de la dimensión visual del sonido.

La superficie como narrativa.

Narrativas sonoras. Agenciamientos. La escucha como acción.
El instrumento como extensión / prótesis del cuerpo.
Diseño de una escucha por contacto.

Description: 

This workshop explores creative experiences of sound and listening production, from the practical application of design techniques and nonconventional sound construction. In a DIY style, you’ll reuse objects and materials to experiment with the intersection of poetry in sound and new technological mediums. 

Objectives:

• Generate a space of artistic interaction with sound
• Develop creative experiences around listening
• Establish poetic relationships between body-image-metaphor-sound
• Promote the exploration of vibrant materials and corporalities
• Rethink objects as goods of performance consumption and production

This workshop will address poetic relationships between objects, space, time, and technology, encompassing auditory perspectives for the production of meaning.

Introduction:

Simulations and mediations. Bodies that sound and bodies that listen:

We will explore the expressive possibilities of objects to reproduce and perceive sound, proposing poetics of functional exchange. Making objects emit what they hear and making them listen to what they emit. Spatial-temporal syntax as an organizer of meanings. The body resonates. Objectification of the body – subjectification of objects.

Wind:

How to listen to the wind. Construction of a simple wind instrument for collective action.

Tentacular listening.

Aural experience of approaching objects through direct contact.

Seeing sound.

Images that sound. Construction of the sound dimension of the image. Construction of the aural dimension of the image. Construction of the visual dimension of sound.

Surface as narrative.

Sound narratives. Agencements. Listening as action. The instrument as an extension/prosthesis of the body. Designing listening through contact.
