Descripción conceptual
Inspirado en las antiguas cajas musicales y en los tableros de luces electrónicos, la instalación está compuesta por tres elementos. El primero es un molinillo, que al ser soplado activa los mecanismos que se encuentran en el segundo elemento. La segunda parte de la instalación está conformada por una superficie de madera que le da soporte a 5 bandas o correas dentadas que giran en recorridos diferentes, pero que comparten una sección de este recorrido. Las correas dentadas se encuentran perforadas de tal forma que al llegar a la sección común recomponen las palabras de la frase ¨CUANTO TIEMPO PASARÁ¨, es así como la frase se fragmenta y recompone continuamente. Al mismo tiempo cada una de las correas activa mecanismos sencillos que generan ruidos al ritmo de las perforaciones en cada una de las bandas. Por último el mensaje es filmado y transmitido a dos pequeñas pantallas de rayos catódicos montadas en el tercer segmento de la instalación. Después de un tiempo determinado el mecanismo se detiene a la espera de ser activado nuevamente.

How much time will pass by (without seeing you) – Literary Transducer, 2013
Inspired by the old music boxes and electronic light boards, the installation consists of three elements. The first one is a whirligig that activates the machinery of the second device by blowing into it. The second part of the installation consists of a wooden surface that supports five bands or timing belts rotating in different paths but sharing a section of the track. All timing belts have small perforations so that when they reach the common section, they recompose the words of the sentence “CUANTO TIEMPO PASARÁ” (How much time will pass by) ; that is how the sentence gets fragmented and reconstructed continuously. At the same time, each belt activates a few simple mechanisms that generate noise to the rhythm of the piercings in each of the bands. Finally, the message is recorded in video and transmitted into two small cathode ray screens fitted on the third segment of the installation. After a while the mechanism stops and waits to be activated again.
