En el mundo de la “comunicación global en tiempo real”, los conceptos de proximidad y distancia han cambiado de rostro y significado. La cercanía es, ante todo, una cuestión de escucha, de la intensidad y la empatía con la que escuchamos. No basta con oír y recibir pasivamente las noticias: para escuchar es necesario comunicar, participar, realizar incluso el más mínimo gesto de adhesión e intercambio.
La instalación interactiva “INSIEME: COSI LONTANI, COSI’ VICINI” crea un espacio dinámico en el que el público se encuentra con fragmentos de historias procedentes de territorios en guerra donde opera Emergency. Voces, sonidos e imágenes cobran vida y se transforman a través del movimiento de la audiencia, revelando una composición coral, colectiva y delicada.

In today’s world of “real-time global communication,” the concepts of proximity and distance have changed their face and meaning. Closeness is, above all, a matter of listening—of the intensity and empathy with which we listen. It is not enough to simply hear and passively receive the news: to truly listen, one must communicate, participate, and perform even the smallest gesture of connection and exchange.
The interactive installation “INSIEME: COSÌ LONTANI, COSÌ VICINI” creates a dynamic space in which the audience encounters fragments of stories from war-affected regions where Emergency (an Italian humanitarian NGO) operates. Voices, sounds, and images come to life and transform through the movement of the audience, revealing a choral, collective, and delicate composition.
