Bio
Patricia Cadavid Hinojosa es una inmigrante, artista e investigadora nacida en Colombia. En su trabajo, aborda las relaciones y efectos de la colonialidad en los nuevos medios desde la experiencia migratoria y el pensamiento decolonial y anticolonial.
Actualmente vive entre Valencia y trabaja en la reivindicación de la memoria contenida en las interfaces ancestrales de los Andes arrebatadas por la colonización, y sus conexiones con el arte y la ciencia reutilizándolas en nuevos procesos artísticos relacionados con el video, NIMEs, live coding tangible, sonido y performance multimedia.
Patricia es estudiante del Interface Culture Lab (Kunstuniversität Linz), graduada en Bellas Artes por la Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha y Máster en Artes visuales y multimedia de la Universitat Politècnica de València. Su trabajo ha sido expuesto en diferentes festivales como Ars Electronica (Austria), ADAF (Grecia), o las conferencias NIME y SEAMUS, así como en varios espacios de México, Chile, España, Alemania y Colombia

Patricia Cadavid Hinojosa is an immigrant, artist, and researcher, born in Colombia. In her work, she looks at the relationships and effects of coloniality in new media from the migratory experience and decoloni-al & anticolonial thinking.
She is currently working on the vindication of the memory contained in the ancestral interfaces of the Andes taken away by colonization, and their connections with art and science reusing them in new artistic processes related to video, NIMEs, tangible live coding, sound, and multimedia performance.
Student at the Interface Culture Lab (Kunstuniversität Linz), she received her BFA from the Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha and her MA from the Universitat Politècnica de València, multimedia &Visual arts program. her work has been exhibited in different festivals as Ars Electronica (Austria), ADAF (Greece), or the NIME and SEAMUS conferences as well as in several spaces in Mexico, Chile, Spain, Germany, and Colombia.
