El trabajo de Passepartout Duo (Nicoletta Favari y Christopher Salvito) investiga la forma en que escuchamos y conectamos con el sonido. Al reevaluar las herramientas que se utilizan para crear su música, el grupo desarrolla continuamente un ecosistema especializado y en evolución de instrumentos musicales hechos a mano que van desde circuitos electrónicos analógicos y percusión convencional, hasta instalaciones textiles del tamaño de una habitación y objetos encontrados.
Este enfoque desde cero se ha materializado en una serie de lanzamientos discográficos, el último de los cuales se centra en su instrumento electromagnético llamado Chromaplane.

Passepartout Duo’s work investigates the way in which we listen to and connect with sound. Reassessing the tools they use to create their music, the group is continually developing a specialized and evolving ecosystem of handmade musical instruments that have ranged from analog electronic circuits and conventional percussion, to room-size textile installations and found objects.
This from-scratch approach has materialized itself in a series of discographic releases, the latest one focusing on their electro-magnetic instrument called Chromaplane.
