Descripción conceptual
“Light Disruption” es una pieza audiovisual a medio camino entre la instalación específica y la performance AV. La obra juega con una nueva concepción de la difracción de la luz, donde el sonido se convierte en la “causa” y las imágenes son una representación del “efecto”. Mediante el uso de herramientas generativas y audio-reactivas, esta nueva forma de luz escapa del fluorescente roto donde estaba mapeado el contenido. La artificialidad de su nueva naturaleza sugiere un vida más allá de previa forma física, recordando así la ley de conservación de la energía: “La energía no se crea ni se destruye, solo se transforma”.

‘Light Disruption’ is an audiovisual piece half way in between site-specific installation and live performance that plays around a new conception of light diffraction where sound becomes the “cause” and visuals are a representation of the “effect”. Through using generative and audio-reactive tools, this new shape of light escapes out the broken fluorescent where the content is mapped. The artificiality of its new nature suggest a sort of afterlife for the disrupted light, reminding the law of conservation of energy: it can neither be created nor destroyed…
