What Sleeps Beneath

Se inspira en el mito anishinaabe de la creación de la Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore y las islas Manitou, en el lago Michigan (EE.UU.). Está compuesta en su totalidad por fuentes sonoras grabadas sobre el terreno en las Dunas del Oso Durmiente como parte de una residencia artística en la Asociación Artística de Glen Arbor. Las fuentes sonoras incluyen paisajes sonoros de la orilla del lago (olas, follaje, rocas y sedimentos, diversas especies de fauna, praderas), metalurgia antigua o mecanismos encontrados en lagos históricos.

Is inspired by the Anishinaabe creation myth for the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore and the Manitou Islands in Lake Michigan (USA). It is composed entirely of sound sources recorded in the field at the Sleeping Bear Dunes as part of an artist residency at the Glen Arbor Arts Association. Sound sources include: Lakeshore soundscapes (waves, foliage, rocks and sediment, various species of fauna, grasslands), antique metallurgy or mechanisms found within historic lakesho.
