IN-SONORA 13 Jury
En IN-SONORA, después de 18 años de trayectoria seguimos con ganas e ilusión por conocer y apoyar a nuevos artistas y dar visibilidad a sus proyectos. Con esa intención abrimos una nueva convocatoria pública, de acceso sencillo, gracias a la cual seleccionaremos las propuestas que darán forma al cartel de la 13ª Muestra Internacional de Arte Sonoro.
El plazo de inscripción a la convocatoria ha sido ampliado hasta el 7 de mayo de 2023, enviando las propuestas a través del formulario online que se encuentra en esta web.
IN-SONORA 13 tendrá su base presencial en Madrid en marzo de 2024, contando con una extensión virtual abierta al resto de lugares.
In 18 years of IN-SONORA’s trajectory, we are still eager to give support and visibility to experimental artistic proposals related to interactive and sound art. That is why we have decided to make an accessible and completely open call for projects in order to put together a very diverse and totally renewed program for the 13th edition of the showing.

The 13th International Showing of Sound and Interactive Art will take place in Madrid in March 2024, with a virtual extension open in other spaces. The dates will be specified once the selection of projects has been made.

CONVOCATORIA INTERNACIONAL 2023
¿QUIÉN PUEDE PARTICIPAR?
Podrán participar todos los artistas mayores de edad y de cualquier nacionalidad. Aunque se pondrá especial atención en los artistas emergentes o que no hayan participado con anterioridad en la muestra.
FECHAS
El plazo de inscripción a la convocatoria de IN-SONORA 13 ha sido ampliado hasta el 7 de mayo de 2023. No se aceptará ningún proyecto fuera de este plazo.
La 13ª Muestra Internacional de Arte Sonoro e Interactivo tendrá su base presencial en Madrid en marzo de 2024, contando con una extensión virtual abierta al resto de lugares. Las fechas se concretarán una vez hecha la selección de proyectos.
REQUISITOS DE LAS OBRAS
Cada participante podrá presentar tantas obras como desee.
Cada una deberá ir acompañada de su correspondiente solicitud online.
Todas las propuestas deberán estar ya producidas o contar el artista con todos los medios para su presentación. Las obras no finalizadas, que sean seleccionadas, deberán estar terminadas antes del final de 2023.
Las disciplinas contempladas en esta convocatoria son:
Instalación (Sonora / Interactiva / Sonora e Interactiva / Audiovisual): objeto, instalación o intervención con necesidad de presentarse y permanecer en un espacio físico durante un período de tiempo a convenir.
Evento: propuesta de directo en cualquiera de sus modalidades, de entre 20 y 40 minutos de duración, para ser presentada en un espacio físico o virtual.
Pieza sonora: obra de electroacústica y arte sonoro en formato fijo (acusmática) de máximo 10 minutos de duración, pensada para salida en sistema estéreo, sin la necesidad de la participación del autor.
Vídeo: audiovisual de máximo 10 minutos de duración para ser presentado dentro de un programa de proyección con salida de audio estéreo.
Residencia TikTok: proyecto online pensado para ser desarrollado durante el periodo de la muestra en el canal de TikTok abierto por IN-SONORA. Deberá ser un proyecto que establezca un diálogo entre la creación y la experimentación sonora y el lenguaje de esta plataforma.
Taller: programa monográfico de corta duración para ser impartido de forma presencial o virtual durante el periodo de la muestra.
Conferencia: presentación pública y accesible con una duración máxima de 1 hora para ser impartida en formato presencial o virtual.

))) Biografía (max. 700 caracteres)
))) Datos de la obra (disciplina, título, año, descripción conceptual (max. 500 caracteres), descripción técnica (max. 500 caracteres), dimensiones o duración aproximadas y estado actual de la obra.
))) Imágenes* (formato horizontal de 1200 px de ancho y 300 ppi de resolución).
))) Audios y vídeos informativos*. Necesario estar online (myspace, soundcloud, youtube, vimeo, URL personal…) y adjuntar dirección para su escucha o visionado.
))) Dossier completo. Opcional subir en formato .pdf (max. 5 mb y con texto seleccionable).
* El material sonoro, fotográfico y audiovisual enviado deberá ser un material de calidad y que no esté sujeto a cambios que puedan producirse en el futuro. El/la artista deberá contar con todos los derechos de uso y reproducción de dichas imágenes.

PRESENTACIÓN DE LA DOCUMENTACIÓN
Las solicitudes se presentarán exclusivamente a través de esta web: http://www.in-sonora.org
Es obligatorio cumplimentar íntegramente el formulario online, ajustándose a las indicaciones de número de caracteres en los textos, formato y peso de archivos… que se detallan en estas bases.

JURADO
El jurado estará compuesto por el equipo base de IN-SONORA y profesionales relacionados con el arte sonoro, audiovisual e interactivo. Se seleccionará un número no establecido de obras en cada uno de los formatos, teniendo en cuenta la calidad y la viabilidad de las propuestas.
El jurado se reserva el derecho de solicitar más información sobre la obra al participante, si es necesario, para su correcta valoración.
El fallo del jurado se hará público en el mes de mayo de 2023. La lista de seleccionados se enviará por email a todos los inscritos y se publicará en la web: www.in-sonora.org.
ESPACIOS E INSTITUCIONES QUE APOYAN IN-SONORA 13
IN-SONORA apuesta por una nueva convocatoria de proyectos y trabajará durante 2023 para conseguir los medios y apoyos necesarios.
Por el momento podemos anunciar que Réplika Teatro I Centro Internacional de Creación (https://replikateatro.com) será el escenario principal para los eventos presenciales.
Se trabajará en esta misma línea para colaborar con diferentes plataformas de contenido online las cuales ofrecen programación de manera regular, con la intención de dar más visibilidad al trabajo de los artistas seleccionados.
EL COMPROMISO DE IN-SONORA
La asociación IN-SONORA trabaja cada año para dar forma a una muestra bienal internacional.
Para lo cual desarrolla diferentes labores:
– Lanzamiento de una convocatoria pública internacional, difundida por todos los medios con los que cuenta la asociación y entre sus colaboradores.
– Recepción y estudio de todos los proyectos, seleccionando junto a un jurado independiente un número óptimo de obras.
– Contacto con los espacios y plataformas necesarios para dar cobertura a todas las obras en diferentes formatos.
– Coordinación de la muestra, diseño del programa general y de los espacios de exposición y eventos, respetando al máximo las necesidades de las obras.
– Búsqueda de apoyos para mejorar las condiciones de los artistas, colaboradores y equipo, de forma tal que se logren extender los compromisos aquí recogidos.
– Labores de prensa y difusión a través de todos los medios disponibles.
– IN-SONORA cuenta con un equipo técnico que estudia todas las necesidades de las propuestas seleccionadas y asiste a los artistas.
– Poniendo a disposición de los artistas su propio equipamiento así como el de terceros (espacios y colaboradores) si corresponde.
EL COMPROMISO DEL ARTISTA
– Las obras presentadas en cualquiera de los formatos han de estar ya producidas y contar con todos los medios técnicos necesarios para su correcto funcionamiento durante la muestra.
– Deberá completar todos los datos obligatorios y aquellos que puedan aportar más información sobre la propuesta, por medio del formulario online de la página www.in-sonora.org.
– Los artistas harán saber al equipo de IN-SONORA su preferencia entre presentación física o virtual y aceptarán el espacio que les sea asignado en el programa de la muestra, colaborando en la posible adaptación de su trabajo.
– Los artistas se comprometen a enviar el material que se les solicite desde IN-SONORA (fotográfico, textual, sonoro, audiovisual) para la difusión de su obra en los diferentes medios utilizados durante el desarrollo del festival (web, redes sociales, prensa, etcétera) en los plazos que se le indiquen.
– Tendrán que cubrir todos los posibles gastos derivados de transportes, estancias, dietas, producción, seguro de la obra…
– Los artistas con instalaciones se harán cargo tanto del montaje como del desmontaje de la obra, aquellos con eventos tendrán que estar en los días marcados para ensayos y hacerse cargo del montaje y desmontaje de su equipo.
– Ganas, compromiso y comprensión con el equipo de IN-SONORA que hace todos los esfuerzos posibles para que la muestra funcione.
TÉRMINOS Y CONDICIONES
– Los artistas deben contar con los derechos, licencias o permisos de uso de todo el material enviado a IN-SONORA en esta convocatoria (textos, imágenes, audios…). Material total o parcial que será usado por IN-SONORA para la promoción de las obras antes, durante y después de la muestra.
– Los artistas cederán a IN-SONORA los derechos de exhibición de las obras seleccionadas durante la celebración de la muestra. Los artistas deben informar previamente a IN-SONORA de posibles obras registradas o protegidas en sociedades de derechos de autor a nivel nacional o internacional, así como de las condiciones que deriven de estos contratos.
– IN-SONORA contará con todos los derechos de uso del material documental que se produzca durante la muestra (fotografías, vídeos, live streaming, textos, archivos sonoros…); los cuales serán usados siempre para la difusión del proyecto y sin ánimo de lucro, bajo licencia Creative Commons By-NC-SA (Reconocimiento – No Comercial – Compartir Igual).
La mera presentación a esta convocatoria representa el conocimiento y aceptación de sus términos y condiciones. En caso de que el artista no cumpla con los compromisos aquí detallados, se desestimará su participación en la muestra.
INTERNATIONAL OPEN CALL 2023
CONDITIONS
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
All artists of legal age and of any nationality may participate. However, special attention will be given to up-and-coming artists or those who have not participated in the show before.
DATES
The period of registration for the open call for IN-SONORA 13 has been extended to May 7, 2023. No projects will be accepted after this deadline.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE PIECES
Each participant may submit as many pieces as they wish.
Each one must be accompanied by a corresponding online application.
All of the proposals should already be completed or the artist should have all of the means for their presentation. Any unfinished pieces that are selected must be finished by the end of 2023.
The formats (disciplines) available for this open call are:
Installation (Sound / Interactive / Sound and Interactive / Audiovisual): an object, installation or intervention, presented in either physical or virtual space. Your installation must remain there for the showing during an agreed-upon period of time.
Even: a live proposal in any of its modalities 20 to 40 minutes long presented in a physical or virtual space.
Sound piece: an electroacoustic device or sound piece in a fixed format (acousmatic) intended for an output stereo system, without the need for the author’s participation. The maximum length is 10 minutes.
Video: audiovisual piece of a maximum of 10 minutes to be shown in a projection program with a stereo audio output.
TikTok Residency: an online project designed to be developed during the period of the showing on the TikTok channel created by IN-SONORA. It must be a project that builds a dialogue between sound creation and experimentation.
Workshop: a short monographic program to be carried out either in person or virtually throughout the period of the showing.
Conference: a public and accessible presentation with a maximum duration of 1 hour to be shared face-to-face or virtually.

))) Personal data (name and last name(s), stage name or name of collective, year and place of birth, nationality, city and current address).
))) Contact (email, URL, phone number, social media).
))) Personal image (horizontal format of 1200 px wide and 300 ppi resolution).
))) Biography (max. 700 characters).
))) Information about the piece (format or discipline, title, year, conceptual description (max. 500 characters), technical description (max. 500 characters), approximate dimensions or duration and current status of the piece.

* The sound, photographic and audiovisual material submitted must be of high quality and not subject to changes that may occur in the future. The artist must have all rights to use and reproduce these images.

It is mandatory to fully complete the online application, following the indications of the number of characters in the texts, format, and file size… that are detailed in the conditions section.

JURY
The jury is composed of the IN-SONORA core team and professionals of sound, audiovisual, and interactive art. An unestablished number of pieces will be selected by the jury in each of the disciplines or formats listed above, taking into account the quality and viability of the proposals.
The jury reserves the right to request more information about the proposal from the participant, if necessary, for its correct evaluation.
The jury’s decision will be made public during the month of May 2023. The shortlist will be sent by email to all those who have registered and will be published on the website: www.in-sonora.org.
VENUES AND INSTITUTIONS THAT SUPPORT IN-SONORA 13
IN-SONORA is betting on a new call for projects and is willing to work along this year to obtain the necessary means and support.
For now, we can announce that Réplika Teatro I Centro Internacional de Creación (https://replikateatro.com) will be the main venue for on-site events.
IN-SONORA will work in the same way collaborating with different online platforms that offer content programming regularly in order to give more visibility to the selected artists and their work.
IN-SONORA’S COMMITMENT
The association of IN-SONORA works each year to put on a biennial international show.
For which it develops different tasks:
– Launching of an international public call for entries, broadcasted and disseminated by all the means at the association’s disposal and among its partners, and collaborators.
– Receiving and studying all projects, including an independent jury’s selection of an optimal number of pieces.
– Contacting the necessary venues and platforms to give coverage to all of the pieces in different ways.
– Coordinating the show as well as designing the general program, setting up the exposition and event venues, respecting as much as possible the needs of each piece.
– Searching for support to improve the conditions of the artists, collaborators, and the team, so that the commitments listed here are achieved.
– Doing the press work and spreading the information increasing the event’s outreach through all the means available.
– IN-SONORA has a technical team that studies all of the needs of the selected proposals and helps the artists.
– Providing the artists with their own equipment as well as that of third parties (venues and collaborators) if applicable.
ARTIST AGREEMENT
– The works presented in any of the formats must already be produced and have all the technical means necessary for their correct functioning during the showing.
– All mandatory data and any optional data that may provide more information about the proposal, must be completed through the online application at www.in-sonora.org.
– The artists will inform the IN-SONORA team about their preference between physical or virtual formats and will accept the venue assigned to them in the program of the show, willing to work together in case of a possible adaptation of their work.
– The artists commit themselves to send the material requested by IN-SONORA (photographic, textual, sound, audiovisual) for their work to be presented in different media during the showing (websites, social media, press, etc.) within the deadlines indicated.
– They will have to cover all possible expenses such as transportation, accommodation, per diems, production, insurance of the work…
– Artists with installations will be in charge of both assembling and disassembling the piece. Those performing in the event will have to be there on the days scheduled for rehearsals and will be in charge of assembling and disassembling their equipment as well.
– Eagerness, commitment and dialogue with the IN-SONORA team will make every effort worth it to make the show work.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
– Artists should have the rights, licenses or permissions to use all the material sent to IN-SONORA for this open call (texts, images, audios…). Total or partial material will be used by IN-SONORA for the promotion of previous pieces, during and after the showing.
– Artists will give to IN-SONORA the rights to exhibit the selected piece during the celebration of the show. Artists must inform IN-SONORA in advance of works registered or protected by national or international copyright societies, as well as the conditions derived from these contracts.
– IN-SONORA will have all of the rights to use the documentary material produced during the show (photos, videos, live streaming, texts, sound files…); which will be used for the broadcasting of the project and non-profit, under the Creative Commons By-NC-SA (Reconocimiento – No Comercial – Compartir Igual) license.
The mere submission to this call represents the knowledge and acceptance of its terms and conditions. In the event that the artist does not comply with the commitments detailed herein, their participation in the exhibition will be dismissed.
